Meeting place: the meeting will take place in the IT Auditorium, building 31, third floor. To locate this building click here

Workshop shuttles: continuous shuttles will be organized from the CERN reception (building 33), via the CERN hostel (building 39) to the meeting room (building 31) on Monday and Tuesday morning between 7.30am and 8.30am

Airport shuttles: a shuttle will be organized Tuesday 16 at 5pm from building 31 to the airport.

Social event: our dinner will take place at the Ecole Hoteliere de Geneve, 12 avenue de la Paix, Geneva. A transport by bus will be organized at 6pm in front of the building of the meeting (building 31). There will be a short stop in front of the CERN hostel and the bus will depart to the restaurant at 6.30pm. The return will be also done by bus back to CERN around 11pm.

Wireless connection: There is a wireless network available in the meeting room. As soon as you will try to connect to it, a network connection request form will pop up. Please fill in your name, institute and hardware address in order to get the temporary internet access. Indicate Elise Guyot as CERN contact person, Department IT, Group CS, who will validate your request.

We have pre-reserved 50 rooms from Sunday 14 to Wednesday morning 17 March at the CERN hostel at a very reasonable price (CHF 61 per night). This low three-star hotel is located on the CERN site, at walking distance of the cafeteria. Please specify on the registration form whether you would like one of these rooms to be firmly reserved for you (please do not contact the hostel directly).

• CERN Hostel opening hours:
  • Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00.p.m. non-stop;
  • After 6:00 p.m. and during the week-ends, room keys are available from the security guards at entrance B (building 120).

If you prefer to stay in the center of Geneva, the Tourist Office of Geneva maintains a list of hotels ranging from one star to five stars. It usually takes 15-20 minutes to go from the old city of Geneva to CERN by taxi.
